In 2019 Grupo Garlo created ARES. ARES was the logical next step in the group’s path, whose main focus is maintenance.
arlo emerged in 2011 in Viveiro after the acquisition of elevating platforms that were used to carry out works at height. The industrial maintenance company Garmir was created that same year, to carry out works for multinationals such as Alcoa, and to provide local solutions for companies in that geographical area that were turning to foreign experts.
Garlo begins working in the world of wind farm maintenance and blade repair. Due to the high quality of the work supplied by Garlo, shortly after starting operations it signed contracts with large companies in the sector such as Iberdrola, Endesa and General Electric and its activities were expanded to countries around the world. Over time, Garlo became the parent of the group that bears his name.
Recently, its innovative spirit, management activities and the need to resolve clients’ certain needs, resulted in ARES. Until then, the group had muscle, Garmir and Garlo, however, the current market requires brains: knowing how to do maintenance is important, but knowing when it should be done is also essential. All the experience accumulated over the years in maintenance management was channelled into ARES, with the aim of also using new Big Data technologies and mathematical algorithms.
There are nearly one hundred people working together in the group. A family business with many years’ experience and that make up a close and professional working group. In addition, the union between the group’s three companies allows it to offer clients’ a differential treatment. And everything is done responsibly, with an utmost respect for society and the environment.
